Who is this Guy?

Anton Berezin has been a stalwart of Australian Theatre since his professional debut at the age of 19 in Larry’s Song at Melbourne’s Malthouse Theatre.
He has worked continuously for over 30 years in major commercial productions including Back to the Future, Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Sweeney Todd, Wicked, Once the Musical, Side Show Alley, Cabaret the Musical, Follies, Fiddler on the Roof, How To Succeed in Business, Cats, The Secret Garden, Mack and Mabel, Anything Goes, Doctor Zhivago, The Light in the Piazza, City of Angels, Promises Promises, Sunday in the Park with George and Ragtime. Anton played the roles of Brian, Jack Lapidus and the Judge in the original Australian production of The Producers during 2004-2005 and more recently played the iconic role of Max Bialystock in the 2025 revival at Hayes Theatre, Sydney.
On film, Anton has had roles in Newton’s Law, Jack Irish, Neighbours, The Secret Life of Us, Marshall Law, MDA, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and the ABC/Opera Australia collaboration The Divorce.
In addition to his performance work, Anton is a prolific Producer of Plays, Musical Theatre and Opera. He was founder of Life Like Touring and The Entertainment Store which have become global leaders in family events, arena shows and ticketed experiences. These businesses were acquired by entertainment behomoth, Ticketek, in 2016 and Anton exited as Managing Director in November 2019.
He has since completed a Degree in Film Production and established, with his wife and creative partner, Theresa Borg, Monstrous Theatre. This new production company has already presented a number of successful plays including Yentl and Anne Being Frank at Sydney Opera House and will premiere it's first opera with Victorian Opera in 2026 - a new adaptation of Helen Garners beloved book - The Spare Room.
Anton is currently playing the role of Principal Strickland in the Australian Premiere of BACK TO THE FUTURE at the Lyric Theatre, Sydney
